Presentation of my project
Due to a malformation of my jaws, I am forced to resort to a heavy operation to stop the following chronic symptoms:
- Apneas
- Fatigue
- Loss of my teeth
- Headache
- Neck pain
This surgery, considered "comfort" by social security and mutual insurance companies, will allow me to continue to eat solid foods and will help me return to a normal social life, allowing me in particular to play sports. But above all, being able to walk 200 meters on flat, climb 40 stairs without being out of breath or finally stop sleeping 15 hours in 24-hour increments.
What will the money collected be used for
The money collected will be used to pay the costs related to the surgical intervention, remaining at my expense, not being covered by social security or mutual insurance:
- €3442 for the surgeon
- €624.86 for the anesthesiologist
That is €4066.86 in total.
If we exceed the objective of this campaign, the remaining funds will be used to reimburse the many auxilliary costs related to this surgery: about €8000 for the 4 years of orthodontic treatment, physiotherapy follow-up, the many journeys made between my home and my place of treatment (500 kilometers round trip), etc.
Details
It is a heavy operation that required 2 years of preparation, with orthodontics to move my teeth in an adequate position. It now consists of cutting my jaws into several parts, then fixing them with titanium plates and screws, as well as performing several bone grafts (pork or human, I don't know).
If everything goes as planned, I would not spend more than 3 days hospitalized and despite a long period of convalescence of a month and a half, should directly feel the benefits of the operation on my body.
This will follow a minimum of 1 year and a half of orthodontic treatment to this time place my teeth in the right place so that they can serve me.
